It's been raining, drizzling, dripping, and generally icking, pretty much non stop in these parts for the past couple weeks. El Nino has arrived and I've gotta say that it's been a little depressing. Especially because my adorable red scooter has been locked up in the garage and I have to wait at the soggy bus stops every day. Especially because that bus is taking me to work where everything is especially busy and hectic. It also doesn't help I'm fighting some kind of bug... But enough complaining! This blog ain't no pity party.
One of the things that is getting me through this little mid winter slump is lots of good homemade soup. Last night I made a huge pot of minestrone with loads of veggies, garbanzo and kidney beans, and cute little "O" shaped noodles. We slurped it down while watching some Dexter episodes (we're plugging away at season 3) and listening to the rain drip drop and splatter off the roof. That stuff was good for the soul.
